August 27th 10:00am-5:30pm in Columbus, Ohio Capital University Law School 303 E. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio 43215 The Ohio Democratic County Chairs Association will be providing training on numerous sessions covering topics of interest to political activists. This seminar will center around the role of the county party with regard to the volunteers and candidates. Training for every county party volunteer position needed will be provided. Included in these sessions will be 1 hour sessions on topics for your volunteers on Election Day Activities, Poll Checking Coordinator, Phone Bank Coordinator, Rides to the Polls Coordinator, Food and Beverage Coordinator, Computer Lookup Coordinator (if people call needing to know where to go to vote), Absentee Ballot Tracking Coordinator, Literature Distribution Coordinator, Legal Protection Coordinator, Knock and Drag Coordinator, Sign Distribution and Visibilities. There will be additional 1 hour sessions on non-election Coordinator positions. Participants can choose which sessions they wish to attend, and we will try to schedule sessions for activities at the same time that cannot be done by the same person (for example, coordination of poll checking and legal protection on Election Day cannot be done by the same person.) There will also be sessions for County Chairs on organizing your local party and how it interfaces with the candidates and volunteers. Candidate training will occur as part of this interface. Experienced speakers will provide the instruction. A listing of topics and times will be provided in advance. These sessions will be videotaped so you may watch them online through the Ohio Democratic County Chairs Association website.
