ODCCA training - Media Outreach for County Parties

On July 23rd, 2005, the ODCCA will provide public seminars which will focus on how to put together 30 minute television shows for use on Access TV, cable TV, and government TV. The ODCCA is in the process of putting together film clips for usage by county parties to make their own shows. Instruction on how to shoot your own local footage will be included. Information on how to write non-partisan Public Service Announcements to turn out our voters will be included, as well as training on production and hosting a show in your county. Attendees will be asked to be filmed for clips on things like “Why I am a Democrat”. Any candidates for office are welcome to film clips. Clips are best done in 2 or 3 segments, so plan accordingly. Please email or mail volunteers about the need for people willing to shoot footage, edit, be a host etc. This is a new project with lots of potential for free media for message development. APChange which is group of young democrats who started their own company is helping us with this project. We all owe them a great deal for volunteering to help us. We will also preview a contacts management system designed for county parties, and we will have a conference call where we can see it on a computer screen shortly after the 23rd of July.
