Fairfield County Democrats Picnic
Where
Chestnut Ridge metro park
8445 Winchester Road NW
Carroll, Ohio 43112
When
Jul 16, 2005
starts at 5:30 pm
This picnic is an opportunity to get out and
socialize for the sole reason of
having fun and blowing off steam. No work
(well, not much) will be performed.
Guests: Candidate for Ohio's
7th Congressional District Tony
Bourne will be attending the event so we can
meet him, and he can meet us. You
can find out more about Tony Bourne by visiting
his web site.
Fun: Among the features of
the park are: hiking trails,
playground equipment, and a lake (children 15
and younger can fish from the
pond's two docks.) A wetlands deck for
viewing waterfowl and wildlife is also
available.
Cost: There is no charge for
"admission"...just show up.
Food: Please bring a main
dish, a side dish, and something to
drink.
There are grill facilities available, but we
cannot reserve them, so
assume that there will be no grill available
unless you bring it (either gas or
charcoal grills are acceptable according to
park regulations.) If you plan
on coming, and you plan on bringing a grill,
email the
webmasters and let us know. And
this is a metro park...no alcohol, of course!
It might also be advisable to bring folding
chairs, in case the existing park seating
has been used by the time the picnic starts.
PLEASE...If you bring children and you expect
them to go near the water, consider
bringing life jackets. Your humble web-author
once dragged a straying toddler
from a pond and wouldn't care to repeat the
experience.
