The Business Outreach Committee is sponsoring a luncheon on April 4th at Shaw’s Restaurant and Inn. We are pleased to announce that Mina Ubbing has accepted our invitation to speak at this event. The title of her presentation is "How Healthcare Policy Affects Healthcare Practice."
Mina Ubbing was named President and CEO of Fairfield Medical Center in June 2001 after more than 20 years in the healthcare field. In 1986, Mina took over as Accounting Manager at Fairfield Medical Center and was named Vice President-Chief Financial Officer in 1987. She served as Acting CEO in 1996 and again in 2001 before being named to the position on a permanent basis. Mina serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Hospital Association. She is past chair of the Fairfield County Foundation. She chaired the Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce in 2000 and served on that Board for eight years. Currently she also serves on the Board of the Lancaster Festival, the Ohio University-Lancaster Coordinating Council, Lancaster City Schools Communications Committee and on the Advisory Board for Fairfield National Bank. She was recognized for her business leadership by Columbus CEO Magazine and was awarded the Athena Award by the Chamber of Commerce for her community leadership. She has made presentations on healthcare issues at the state and national levels and is passionate about assisting elected officials better understand healthcare.
